Shengyao Xiao

Shengyao Xiao is the Co-Founder and CEO of GIE (Generative Interactive Entertainment), a company focused on building next-generation entertainment platforms powered by generative artificial intelligence. GIE develops technologies that transform digital entertainment from static media into dynamic, AI-generated interactive experiences.

As Co-Founder and CEO, Shengyao leads the company's product vision and technology strategy, overseeing the development of AI-driven content generation systems and real-time interactive platforms. His work focuses on integrating generative models, large-scale computing infrastructure, and real-time media systems to enable personalized and adaptive entertainment experiences.

Before founding GIE, Shengyao worked on artificial intelligence and cloud computing systems across multiple domains—spanning generative media, distributed computing, and enterprise infrastructure—developing AI-based visual generation pipelines using diffusion models and large language models, and building scalable data and media processing workflows for production environments; he subsequently joined the software department at ASM's Shanghai branch, where he focused on bringing AI tools into day-to-day workflows and operationalizing advanced AI technologies within production-grade business settings.

Shengyao holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Nantes Université and a Bachelor of Engineering from Shanghai Maritime University, with research and engineering work focused on artificial intelligence systems, generative models, and scalable computing platforms.
